T&D SHOWCASES COMPLETE ELECTRIC MOTORCYCLES AND INDIVIDUAL COMPONENTS AT EUROBIKE
Co-exhibiting with sister brand Bafang, T&D presents urban and off-road powertrains for electric motorcycles at the 2024 edition of Eurobike.
Introduction:
T&D is showcasing two sample electric motorcycles and six components alongside sister company Bafang at its booth at Eurobike, which takes place at Messe Frankfurt from July 3-7. The displayed samples feature 2 distinct powertrains for off-road electric motorbikes.
The exhibited range at Eurobike features FE01 and FE02 off-road powertrains in sample motorcycle models from the brands Cheerdmoto and SWM respectively.
The displayed motorcycle incorporates a range of T&D-engineered components that collectively create an efficient and cohesive electric motorbike powertrain. These components include motor, battery, controller, HMI, VCU, charging unit, connectors, DCDC converter, and cable harnesses, all developed by T&D. Each combination of components creates a complete drive system that is customized for diverse usage scenarios, ensuring optimal performance for riders and a streamlined development process for product designers in the electric motorcycle industry.
FE01 off-road system
This powertrain is engineered to be lightweight, compact, and durable, ensuring it can effortlessly meet the demands of track riding with responsive and powerful performance. Acceleration from 0 to 50 km/h in 1.26s, a top speed of 85km/h, and a 30° climbing ability.
FE02 off-road system
A custom-designed lightweight powertrain with a coaxial motor, featuring easy-to-manage handling and limitation functions that strike the perfect balance between performance, safety, and fun. It accelerates from 0 to 50 km/h in 3.5 seconds, reaches a top speed of 80 km/h, and has a climbing ability of 25°. The Binsen by SWM is the brand’s first electric motorcycle.
Eurobike is one of the most renowned expos for two-wheeled and green mobility in Europe, attracting over 1,900 exhibitors and 66,000 consumer and trade visitors in 2023. The T&D booth can be found in Hall 8.0 J16.
The product development process
T&D works closely with brands to design drive systems tailored for their specific requirements. T&D’s innovative algorithm is key component to this process, enabling engineers and product designers to input critical parameters of their motorcycle projects and quickly identify the optimal components. Utilising this powerful tool and working closely with T&D’s engineers, the development teams at both Cheerdmoto and SWM successfully brought their products to market smoothly and efficiently.
